Their diverse musical backgrounds and tastes has produced a fast paced sound, described by Tom Dare from Metal Hammer Magazine as " intense, committed and nicely aggressive" which is evident in their live gigs. The Fringe's debut EP, titled, Wasted Days was a great success. They have now released their latest album self titled "The Fringe" which was played to a sell out crowd on its release in 2012. The Fringe have been exceptionally busy in the time they have been together playing many festivals and music venues, such as The Pyramids, Portsmouth Guildhall, Butserfest, Hampshire Rose Bowl and the O2 in London, where they received great comments from people in the Industry. Daniel P Carter from the Radio 1 Rock Show said "he's right into The Fringe" and Alex Baker from Kerrang said "very good ability". They have been privileged to support bands such as, Funeral for a Friend, Kids in Glass Houses, Young Guns, Deaf Havana, Steve Rodgers, Missing Andy, The Virginmarys and many more.
