The Humble

The Humble Earthworm are a rock/pop cover band based in the north west of Co. Donegal, Ireland. The band has been receiving rave reviews in the past few years and has had amazing positive feedback to their exciting live gigs. The music covered ranges from the latest chart hits to good old rock classics and the band make sure their set is packed with popular unique tunes that deliver a high entertainment value. Due to this fresh approach, the Humble Earthworm are gathering an ever increasing fan base so make a point to go and see them, you will not be disappointed. The Humble Earthworms' new line-up has taken refuge in their local rehearsal space, working hard on both new and old tunes. Drums - Stephen Devenney Letterkenny based drummer Stephen Devenney has been drumming for local bands this past few years developing and honing his own unique drumming style which is well respected among local drummers. Now as the band's backbone, Devenney's rock steady grooves drive the Humble Earthworm forward and his lively personality, coupled with a great stage presence, delivers a performance you can't help but smile and tap your foot to. Bass - Michael Gillespie. A native Donegal town man, bassist Michael Gillespie has been involved in many musical projects in the past and creates his own unique sound and feel from a combination of musical knowledge, playing skills, quality instruments and equipment. Michael has a fantastic understanding of how its all put together and his creative spark turns his bass notes into great solid music. Vocals/Keyboard/Girl power - Zara Montgomery. Another talented Donegal town musician, Zara Montgomery is the latest member to join the Humble Earthworm. Her powerful vocal brings a refreshing sound and ensures that the band covers a broad selection of music. Listening to her perform a rendition of "Proud Mary" (Tina Turner) gives an idea of how strong a singer Zara actually is. An accomplished keyboard player and harmonizer, Zara rounds out the bands unique "new sound". The band is delighted to have her on board. Vocal/Guitar - Paul Ward. Experienced musician Paul Ward is the band's frontman and founding member and continues to bring the Humble Earthworm experience to the public. Paul's strong and versatile vocals and guitar playing sees the band cover tracks from "Thunderstruck" (AC/DC) to rapping tunes such as "Lose yourself" (Eminem).
