Created and choreographed by Tony (Anthony) Williams, Urban Nutcracker is a long-running holiday reimagining of The Nutcracker that fuses classical ballet with multiple urban and cultural dance forms. The production runs annually at the Boch Center Shubert Theatre, has a companion documentary and has been distributed on public television via American Public Television. It grew out of the Tony Williams Dance Center and emphasizes inclusion, community engagement, and youth development.
