MonoNeon is a bass virtuoso, singer, and songwriter from Memphis, Tennessee, known for his imaginative approach to composition and improvisation. He was one of the last musicians to work with Prince and received a Grammy Award for his contributions to Nas's 2020 album King's Disease. In 2022, Fender released the MonoNeon Jazz Bass V as part of the MonoNeon Capsule Collection.
Throughout his career, MonoNeon has collaborated with artists including Mavis Staples, George Clinton, Pete Rock, Ne-Yo, Mac Miller, Georgia Anne Muldrow, and Ghost-Note, and has appeared at festivals such as the Newport Jazz Festival, Montreal Jazz Festival, and Melbourne International Jazz Festival.
