About

Celebrating the power of words to stimulate, agitate, unite, delight, and inspire, the Boston Book Festival presents year-round events culminating in an annual festival that promotes a culture of reading and ideas and enhances the vibrancy of our city. The Boston Book Festival’s 18th annual festival is expected to draw 25,000 readers to Copley Square on Oct. 17 for more than 80 events featuring more than 200 authors. The festival is free and will include author talks, presentations, book-focused activities, and an outdoor fair. The lineup of high-profile authors, includes acclaimed translator Emily Wilson, Pulitzer Prize winner Geraldine Brooks and bestselling author and financial journalist Michael Lewis. The Festival will be held on Saturday, October 17. Widely advertised and promoted throughout New England as well as the Albany capital region, Washington DC and New York City, BBF successfully pulls in large representation in all age groups (18-24, 25-40, 41-55 and 55 plus and children and teens). In addition, the lively and popular festival, located in Copley Square, is ideally situated within a terrific transportation system, with subway lines and parking garages only steps away and Amtrak and Greyhound terminals nearby.
