Tlingit artist Kim Moberg was born in Juneau, Alaska and currently calls Cape Cod, MA home. Music was the constant in her childhood, helping her to adjust to the frequent moves associated with growing in a military family. Kim began playing guitar at age 14 but severe stage fright kept her from becoming a professional performer. In 2014 Kim set out to overcome her stage fright and wrote her first song.
Kim has teamed with Grammy nominated producer Jon Evans (Tori Amos/Sarah McLachlan) to record 4 albums, all charting on the Folk Alliance International DJ charts. She has received numerous recognitions include 2025 New England Music Awards Nominee Best Americana Act, 2021 Rocky Mountain Songwriting Contest Finalist, 2021 Great American Songwriting Contest Folk/Americana Finalist, and CT Folk Grassy Hill Songwriting Competition Winner.
A strong believer that music brings us together and holds the power to affect change, Kim is an augural member of Club Passim’s The Folk Collective, an initiative founded in 2022 to present inclusive and equitable events that welcome and invite diverse audiences and artists to the Passim stage and beyond. She serves on the board of the Billy Conway Artist Fund, an organization who honors the late drummer by supporting Indigenous artists in Montana (a place where he loved to live). She is also the newest member of the Folk Alliance International’s Cultural and Equity Committee.

Heather Swanson is a Boston area classical violinist who crossed over to folk and traditional Irish music. She is a participant and past board member of the Acadia Festival of Traditional Music and Arts, an accomplished seisiun player, and performs in duo partnerships with singer/songwriters Kim Moberg and Caroline Brennan in addition to working as in the wedding duo The Cape Violin Cello Duo with her cellist daughter, Krista Lucich. A long time theatre band member, Heather has performed in numerous stage shows at Cotuit Center for the Arts and Reagle Music Theater. Heather has an active home studio in Centerville. Her debut album, “Beside Quiet Waters”, is a collection of traditional and contemporary Irish and Celtic music produced by Jon Evans.
Rachel Moberg is a singer/songwriter, whose developing sound reflects a wide variety of musical influences. Originally a classically trained pianist, she has found a home for her own artistic endeavors in the Folk/Americana community. Inspired by artists such as Brandi Carlile, Joni Mitchell, Sarah Jarosz, and others, she strives to write and interpret songs that reflect her present truths. Rachel is a recent recipient of the AMERICANAFEST grant awarded through the Salt Lick Incubator, which allowed her to travel to Nashville to take part in the annual AmericanaFest conference. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College in 2022, majoring in Environmental Studies and Economics. Rachel is currently working towards recording her debut EP.
Thea Hopkins is a member of the Aquinnah Wampanoag tribe of Martha’s Vineyard MA who calls her music Red Roots Americana. She has been described as a “standout writer” by the Washington Post. Her new album, “Blossoms & Ghosts”, released in February 2026, is receiving airplay in the US, Canada and Europe.Thea’s numerous recognitions include The New York Stage and Film Fund’s “Indigenous Voices of The Northeast” artist resident for 2024 and 2025 in support of her play, “An American Ghost Dance”. In June 2019, Thea was selected by the Western Arts Alliance as a 2019 Native Launchpad Artist, a three-year artist development program. To cap off 2019, Thea was selected for the Wichoie Ahiya Indigenous Singer Songwriter Intensive at the Banff Arts Centre in Alberta, Canada. Thea was a Native Arts and Cultures fellowship recipient in 2017.
Thea first came to wider public notice when Peter, Paul & Mary recorded her song “Jesus Is On The Wire” in 2004, and then again in 2010 with the Prague Symphony Orchestra. It is considered one of their later signature songs. Bob Dylan’s former tour manager, described Thea Hopkins as “k.d. lang meets Leonard Cohen.”
