The Brighton Branch of the Boston Public Library is a neighborhood library in Brighton Center featuring a 40?seat community room, a teen space with café?style seating, and a lounge overlooking a serenity garden. Its roots trace to the Brighton Social Library joining BPL upon Brighton’s annexation in 1874; the current building opened on the same site in 1969 and reopened in December 2010 after an 18?month renovation. The branch hosts regular children’s and community programs, serving as a local hub for the Allston/Brighton neighborhood.
