The Connolly Branch of the Boston Public Library is a neighborhood library serving Hyde Square in Jamaica Plain, known for bilingual programming, Spanish-language collections, and community events. Opened in 1932 and renamed in 1940 for Monsignor Arthur T. Connolly, the Jacobean?style limestone building features ornate plasterwork inspired by England’s Rufford Abbey Library. Its reservable lecture hall seats up to 100, making it a convenient community meeting space along the Centre Street corridor.
