Opened in 1933 in a restored Art Deco movie palace, the nonprofit Coolidge Corner Theatre is a landmark arthouse cinema known for independent and repertory programming and community education in Brookline. Following a recent expansion, it operates six screens; the main Moviehouse 1 seats 432 and the venue regularly programs 70mm presentations, anchoring the walkable Coolidge Corner district.
