Reborn in 2021 after a pandemic-era renovation, the Crystal Ballroom at Somerville Theatre is a restored second-floor space in the historic Hobbs Building that hosts indie concerts, comedy, dance nights, and private events. The 500-capacity room features chandeliers with modern sound and lighting and sits in the heart of Davis Square’s walkable dining-and-nightlife hub. Its roots trace back to the original Hobbs’ Crystal Ballroom that opened with the Theatre in 1914.
