Far From the Tree is a Salem craft cidery and taproom known for creative, heritage-inspired ciders made from local apples; founded in 2013, it opened its tasting room at 108 Jackson Street in 2015. The relaxed space hosts trivia, open mics, crafts, and live music, with a dog?friendly patio and a short walk to downtown restaurants and other breweries.

Parking

No dedicated lot; use metered street parking and nearby municipal garages such as Museum Place Garage (New Liberty St) and South Harbor Garage (Congress St). The MBTA’s Salem Station also has a large parking garage.

Public transit

MBTA Commuter Rail (Newburyport/Rockport Line) to Salem Station, plus MBTA bus routes 435, 450, 451, 455, and 456 serving the city; seasonal Salem Ferry runs from Boston’s Long Wharf to Salem.
