Shaw-Roxbury is the Boston Public Library’s Roxbury branch, renamed in 2025 to honor pioneering journalist Sarah-Ann Shaw. The branch was completely rebuilt and reopened in 2020 after a $17.2 million renovation, and today features community-focused spaces including the Fellowes Hall event room and a hands-on Nutrition Lab in the heart of Nubian Square. It serves as a busy neighborhood hub for talks, classes, and cultural programs with strong ties to Roxbury’s commercial center.
